Computer Hardware/Software Requirements

A series of talks are given by a panel of distinguished speakers. Kieren A. Marr, MD talks on the changing epidemiology of invasive fungal disease. Thomas J. Walsh, MD talks on what is the current and future status of conventional amphotericin B. Pranatharthi H. Chandrasekar, MD talks about choosing antifungals for the right patients and the reason. Michael E. Kleinberg, MD talks on the next big thing, how can we improve?

After participating in this activity, participants should be able to:

1. Evaluate the currently evolving milieu, in particular the emergence of new pathogenic threats and their potential impact on patient care and treatment options.
2. Discuss the diminishing role of conventional amphotericin B and its usefulness in the current-day environment and future treatment regimens.
3. Determine how today's therapeutic choices can be most appropriately employed in high-risk patients.
4. Explore methods to improve patient outcomes, considering antifungal efficacy, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
